After graduating from Yale, Dr. Evans returned to the Midwest for medical education earning degrees from the University of South Dakota and the University of North Dakota.

His internship and residency in Emergency Medicine were completed at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he continued as a Clinical Instructor, and primary trainer for Emergency Medical Services.

He was active at the Emergency Departments of several Minneapolis suburban training centers, and was the first Chief of Emergency Medicine at Fairview Ridges Hospital, as well as Medical Director of ALS Paramedic Ambulance Services in Burnsville, MN.

In 1997, Dr. Evans was appointed Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, while developing and operating extensive Urgent Care facilities in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis.

He has been involved with regional Mass Casualty plans, Special Operations Rescue, and National Security protocol development.

Dr. Evans practices in the area of acute care and holds the X certification, allowing him to prescribe Suboxone/Buprenorphine for opiate addiction.

In leisure time, he enjoys diverse interests from music to sailing and participating in government and community affairs.
